Overview:

Green methanation is an advanced clean fuel pathway that converts captured carbon dioxide (CO₂) and green hydrogen (H₂) into a storable and distributable energy carrier—synthetic methane (CH₄)—through the Sabatier reaction. This process not only enables efficient utilization of CO₂ but also provides a stable solution for long-duration storage of renewable energy.

As a core technology within Power-to-Gas (PtG) and carbon capture and utilization (CCU) strategies, EPC’s proprietary modular methanation system features high conversion efficiency, flexible deployment, and strong scalability. It is well suited for a wide range of applications, including remote sites, off-grid renewable energy utilization, grid balancing, and large-scale renewable integration, providing reliable support for energy system decarbonization and low-carbon gas substitution.
